A BRIEF HISTORY

In March 2003, the President of Christ Dominion Team, Prof. Abayomi Adebayo was inspired by the Holy Spirit to start a ministry beyond the boundary of the church he was attending. On this, the Lord impressed on him by the Holy Spirit to run a programme tagged: Dominion Time on Nigeria Television Authority (NTA). This programme was broadcasted on the platform of Christ Dominion Team (CDT)- A Team he had earlier established and coordinated but set aside for pastoring assignment in Gospel Faith Mission International (GOFAMINT). Dominion Team became a platform to preach to unbelievable number of people in their various homes, the scriptural truth about the plan of God for every person. Besides, it was used as a platform to empower the public on how to experience dominion life in Christ.

In April to May 2009, Prof Abayomi Adebayo went to Haggai Institute for Advanced Leadership Training in the US by divine arrangement and this gave him an opportunity to seek God in prayer and reflect on his life. The prayer and reflections led to the impression that he should approach the General Overseer of Gospel Faith. Mission for possibility of a release from GOFAMINT and start the work of the ministry which God has committed to his hands. In obedience to the call, on returning to Nigeria, the Christ Dominion Team International was formally inaugurated on the 12th July, 2009, as an independent ministry established with a clear mandate.

The ministry has since been registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission with a Certificate of Incorporation Number 35104.

JESUS CENTRE

JESUS CENTRE is the name of the church arm of Christ Dominion Team International and shall be called Jesus Centre Church. Also, the current Jesus Centre Church serves as the operational headquarters for now and within the premise a mini Secretariat shall be with have many offices for different unit’s operation.

The vision for the headquarters church is to be a mega church and more specifically:


1. One, among the praying, growing strong evangelising church to the next generation;

2. A church where sound and balanced insight of the scriptures flows consistently;

3. A church of 1000 numerical strength in membership through faithful pursuance of the ministry’s mandate (not too sensible to ordinary mind in Ife but it will happen);

4. A church where every member is a minister of God; and

5. Establish two vibrant Jesus Centres on Ife-Ilesha Road and Ife-Ondo Road within the next five years. This is to allow those with strong pastoral grace and calling to grow and fulfil their call.
